The Board of Directors of Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA) has voted to include more business leaders as the footwear industry's business and trade association continues to grow.
The new additions include Colin Browne, Under Armour; Jodie Johnson, JCPenney; Zine Mazouzi, Sears Holdings; Gene MacCarthy, Asics International; Dan Plas, Kohl’s; Tsering Namgyal, Chinese Laundry; and Nathan Serphos from Michael Kors, bringing the Board to a total of 39 members.
"We are proud to welcome these distinguished footwear executives to the FDRA Board of Directors and are excited to have them join us at a time when the industry's association is growing at a substantial clip," said Ed Rosenfeld, Chairman and CEO of leather footwear and accessories label Steve Madden and FDRA Chairman. "These key and timely additions to our board will ensure that the organization continues on its path focused on innovation, engagement, advocacy, and support."
Matt Priest, President, FDRA, said the new additions to the Board reflect of the depth and breadth of the association’s diverse and dynamic industry. "We continue adding members, creating innovative products, and providing timely services to a vast majority of our footwear community. That is one reason why we see more engagement from executives and professionals across our industry than ever before."
