Italian premium footwear and accessories brand, Tod’s, has inaugurated a new manufacturing plant in Arquata del Tronto, one of the towns worst hit by the 2016 earthquake in Italy.

Built in just one year, Tod’s new factory in Arquata del Tronto, Marche region, is now fully operational and employs 50 people.

“This aid and solidarity project was both a personal and corporate choice. It was meant to bring the values of ‘Made in Italy’ to life and turn them into a common heritage, like many other Tod’s Group initiatives”, said the Italian Group in a statement”.

The della Valle family, Tod’s owner, are said have invested around €10 million in the project.
