Technical-scientific programme offered at Lineapelle

The Italian Leather Research Institute, the national research body of the trade chambers of the cities of Naples, Pisa and Vicenza, will be participating at the upcoming edition of Lineapelle, taking place February 20-22 at Fieramilano Rho in Milan.

Technical-scientific staff from the Italian Leather Research Institute (ILRI) will be available during the trade show to provide information on new lab services, research and training programmes. “We are at the fair to listen to the exhibitors and visitors. Our goal must be to refine the programmes through everyone’s contributions. We aim to become a touchstone for the entire supply chain,” says Paolo Gurisatti, President of SSIP.

On the second day of Lineapelle, February 21, the ILRI will be hosting a conference titled; “The ILRI recovery plan: business, research projects, training programs to support the whole tanning industry”, when the entire recovery plan of the Institute on a national scale will be presented, with a particular focus on the reorganisation of its research activities and on the technical-scientific proposal to support the entire supply chain.  

The new research programmes, such as Industry 4.0 and the Politecnico del Cuoio, a specific education and training project for the tanning sector will also be presented.  

Also, on Februrary 21, at 11 am, Biagio Naviglio, Supervisor R&S at ILRI, will take part in the Chemical and Chrome tanning seminar organised by UNIC, with a presentation titled; “Alternative chrome tanning systems and the performance characteristics of metal-free leather”.

The ILRI will exhibit at Lineapelle stand N21-P22, Pavillion 9.
