Dysfunctional Savar Tannery zone helps leather exports to slump

The failure of the newly built Savar Tannery Zone near Dhaka in enabling tanneries to operate at full capacity and treat their waste, alongside the rise in popularity of an alternative synthetic material, have been blamed for the drop in leather product exports.
