The Italian luxury label has posted revenues of €317 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2019, up 4.3% at both current and constant exchange rates.
In the first quarter of 2019, Ferragamo’s retail distribution channel posted consolidated revenues up 3.9% (+3.2% at constant exchange rates) compared with the same quarter of 2018, while like-for-like sales increased +2.2% at constant exchange rates. The wholesale channel registered an increase in revenues of 5.5% (+7% at constant rates). Among the product categories, at constant exchange rates, footwear posted a 7.3% increase in the quarter and handbags and leather accessories of 8.7%, year-on-year.
The Italian Group confirms the Asia Pacific area as its top market in terms of revenues (+7.2%), with the retail channel in China up +21.2% in the quarter. Revenues in Europe increased 2.8%, and sales in North America declined 0.7% against the same quarter in the prior year. In Japan, revenues increased 2.1% in the period, while revenues in Central and South America were up 13.8%.
