Volvo cars sales up 11.6% in November

The premium SUV manufacturer sold 62,550 units in November, an 11.6% increase year-on-year.

Between January and November, Volvo Cars’ global sales totalled 631,213 units compared with 582,096 units in the same period of 2018, up 8.4%. The premium carmaker said it is “firmly on course” to achieve a new global annual sales record in 2019; in 2018, the 642,253 cars were sold worldwide. In November, the XC60 was the highest selling car model followed by the XC40 and the XC90. The V60 estate, the V60 Cross Country and the S60 sedan are also said to have contributed to the double-digit volume growth. In Europe, November sales grew 5.3% compared with the same month in 2018, to 29,261 cars, while in China sales were up 26.7% to 14,502 cars. In the U.S., a total of 9,635 units were sold in the month, up 17.8%.
