Pakistan trails Bangladesh in leather export earnings

Leather and leather product export earnings from Pakistan are reported to be worth US$850 million for the full year 2019 which is well down on the $1.27 billion the industry earned in full year 2014 after being granted full GSP Plus status to export into the EU. The country now lags behind neighbouring Bangladesh in total leather export earnings.
