The iconic British fashion house is the latest brand to ban the use of kangaroo leather in its collections.

After Versace, Paul Smith has allegedly announced that it will no longer use kangaroo leather in its collections. The ban is also said to include exotic skins. According to data from the Australian government, Department of the Environment and Energy, nearly 1.5 million kangaroos and wallabies were killed for commercial use in 2017. Overall, the Australian wild fires are estimated to have killed about one billion animals.
