The organisers of the Asia Pacific Leather Fair (APLF) said they are considering contingency plans due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Following the announcement of the World Health Organisation (WHO) on January 30 declaring the coronavirus outbreak a global health emergency, the organisers of the APLF said they are considering contingency plans, including the possibility of postponing the APLF fairs to a later date in 2020. “APLF continues to closely monitor the developments of the Novel Coronavirus which first emerged from Wuhan, China, in December of 2019. As the Organiser we are closely aligned with the efforts by the Hong Kong Departments of Health as well as the World Health Organization (WHO) to control and limit the spread of this infectious disease”, said a statement. “We will be monitoring the situation very closely and will keep posting updates regularly. We should be in a position to advise further plans by mid-February.”
