The International Council of Tanners (ICT) and the Global Leather Coordinating Committee (GLCC) have announced their decision to postpone meetings from the provisional dates in late May/early June until later in the year.

“As the COVID-19 continues to spread in many countries of the world and a number of delegates, including an invited speaker, have advised that they do not expect to travel to Hong Kong, we feel that we need to remove the current uncertainty and confirm that we postpone the ICT and GLCC meetings from the provisional dates in late May/early June, until later in the year”, said Paul Pearson, Secretary, ICT.

The meetings are expected to be rearranged to take place concurrently with either the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE) in Shanghai on September 1-3 or Lineapelle in Milan, September 23-25, with a final decision to be taken in early summer, when the situation could be clearer.

“We hope that taking this decision now will help minimise any inconvenience for members, and we apologise if it creates any problems for anyone”, said Pearson.
