French-Ivorian banker Tidjane Thiam is reported to be joining the Board of the French luxury conglomerate.

Allegedly, Tidjane Thiam, a former Chief Executive of Switzerland’s second largest bank, Credit Suisse, could be joining Kering’s Board for a four-year appointment during a shareholder meeting expected to be held in April. After leading the Credit Suisse for five years, Thiam parted with the bank in February over allegations of internal espionage, however, there are claims that he may have encountered xenophobia within the Swiss banking industry.
