China’s beef imports to reach high levels in 2021

Despite Covid-19 disrupting China’s beef imports in 2020 and creating uncertainty for beef imports in the near future, these imports are forecast to reach a record 2.7 million tonnes in 2021, up 4% over 2020, but lower than previously forecast due to the domestic economic slowdown as a result of the pandemic.
