The LVMH-owned luxury fashion brand is reported to have laid the first foundations of its new manufacturing site in the Italian region of Tuscany on November 11.
As previously reported by ILM, Fendi’s new production site in Tuscany is located in Bagno a Ripoli and is to feature research and development units co-financed by the regional authorities. Located in an area comprised of 8,000 sq m, the site is to house a leather goods factory as well as a training centre. “With the laying of the foundation stone of Fendi Factory, the Roman luxury house’s innovative, efficient and green pole of excellence dedicated to creation, development, innovation, training and production and located in Bagno a Ripoli, Fendi puts the focus on its holistic sustainable strategy”, said the company.
