French businessman Thierry Le Guénic is the new owner of Burton of London, following an alleged filing at the French Competition Authority on September 30.

After two months of review by the authorities, the acquisition deal is reported to have been authorised without conditions. Le Guénic acquired Burton of London from Paris headquartered Groupe Omnium, which has owned the British label since 1992. The other two companies in Omnium’s portfolio are specialised in the home and homeware sectors. Le Guénic has also recently acquired furniture retail chain Habitat.

Burton of London’s product range includes leather shoes and accessories.
