High-end Australian leather goods brand goes into liquidation

Mon Purse, a customisable leather handbag company founded in 2014 by Australian fashion entrepreneur Lana Hopkins, has collapsed

The high-end leather handbag company is reported to appointed liquidators Wexted Advisors and to have immediately stopped trading. Allegedly, Mon Purse customers had complained on social media about orders not being delivered due to supply chain problems that stemmed from the pandemic. The customisable handbag company is said to have extended its leather goods range to include wallets, passport holders, phone cases and tote bags, giving customers innumerous design options to create their own personalised looks. Originally launched online, the Mon Purse has had to shut down its two stores in Australia, as well as in-store shops inside Myer, Bloomingdales in New York and Selfridges in London.
