New Sustainability Chief at Chanel

The French luxury fashion label has appointed a former Mars executive as the company’s new Global Chief Sustainability Officer.

Kate Wylie will join Chanel in April before assuming her role as Global Chief Sustainability Officer and Global President of the Fondation Chanel on July 1. She succeeds Andrea d’Avack, who is retiring in June, and will report to Alain Wertheimer, Chief Executive and co-owner of Chanel. Wylie was formerly the Global Vice President of Sustainability at food and drink company Mars, with a focus on sourcing, packaging and poverty alleviation.
