The organisers of Freiberg Leather Days, the event which aims to facilitate an exchange of information and experience among experts from the tanning and leather industry, invite experts, researchers and specialists to play an active part in shaping its technical content.

As the Freiberg Leather Days had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the VGCT, together with co-organiser FILK, has announced that the 2021 event will be a ‘hybrid’; a live event on site or online. Taking place on June 9-10, the event will be held in the City Hall (Stadthalle) of Chemnitz, situated about 40km from Freiberg, Germany, and the number of participants on-site is limited by the authorities.

The organisers invite experts, researchers and specialists to play an active part in shaping the technical content of the 9th Freiberg Leather Days and are looking to receive lectures from the following fields:

· New/alternative technologies for leather production

· News in characterisation and analytics

· Use of sustainable raw materials in the tannery

· Innovative processing technologies

· Automation and machinery

· New trends in the applying industries

· Artisan tanneries in the age of Industry 4.0

The deadline for submissons is March 13, 2021. For further information, please click here.
