Momentum regained for Vietnamese leather and footwear exports

Vietnamese exports to EU member states reached almost US$10 billion in the first quarter of 2021, up 18% from 2020, according to figures from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), following the landmark EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) which came into force. The leather and footwear industries are amongst those positively affected.
