SLTC announces 123rd International Conference programme

The Society of Leather Technologists and Chemists (SLTC) has announced the programme for the 123rd International Conference, a virtual event hosted by The University of Northampton on April 24, 2021.

Sessions will take place throughout the day from 11 am until 16.15pm, after which the 124th SLTC Annual General Meeting will commence. Sessions include: a lecture from Pittard’s Reg Hankey; a virtual tour of the Institute of Creative Leather Technology at the University of Northampton (ICLT); a talk from Trumpler’s Dr Matt Walker on the sustainability of leather; a presentation of a study of different traditional skin processing technology from Elisa Paomino, Gustavo Adrian Defeo and Lotta Rahme; a review of established techniques and development of new methods by the ICLT’s Dr Stefan Davies; and a panel discussion on the sustainability of leather with panellists from Leather UK, the Sustainable Leather Foundation, W2O Environment and Trumpler.
