US exports in Cambodia climb 16.8%

Cambodia’s total goods exports to the U.S. sharply increased in the first quarter of 2021 to nearly US$1.9 billion, even amid production stoppages and other Covid restrictions. This was 16.8% higher than the US$1.594 billion in merchandise exports logged in the same period in 2020, according to the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Bilateral trade increased by more than 17% from US$1.679 billion to US$1.969 billion and the trade surplus widened by over 16% from US$1.509 billion to US$1.757 billion.
