The Italian premium leather furniture maker has appointed Antonio Achille as CEO. The appointment coincides with the release of the company’s latest sales figures, which exceeded both 2020 and pre-pandemic results in the first quarter of 2021, as reported in full by ILM.

Achille takes over the role from Pasquale Natuzzi, Natuzzi Group’s current Chairman and CEO, effective June 1, 2021, while Natuzzi will take on the role of Executive Chairman. As Executive Chairman, Natuzzi will reportedly focus on long-term strategies, while "strongly committed to the success of the company”.

Natuzzi's board approved new governance "to accelerate the positive momentum and to strengthen our global competitive position".

Achille joins from McKinsey, where he was a Senior Partner and Global Head for the Luxury Sector. For 25 years, he has been advising international groups on strategy, digital and retail re-organisation, supply chain, growth acceleration and operational improvement.

In his role, Achille will focus on all the actions required to foster the Natuzzi Group’s growth and to enhance its operating margin. He will be entrusted with the day-to-day management of the company and will coordinate with the Executive Chairman with respect to all strategic and business decisions.
