As demand for sustainable leather shows no sign of slowing down, Italy based tannins producer Silvateam has responded with an innovative tanning technology to help both tanneries and brands answer the call for eco-friendly products. With its new range of metal and glutaraldehyde-free leathers called Ecotan, the company proposes a complete solution for circular leather articles and leather offcuts which can be transformed into fertilisers for organic agriculture at the end of their useful life. In this webinar, Silvateam will outline this innovative technology and outline how the leathers are produced by one of its partner tanners.
Presenter programme and topics:
• Antonio Battaglia, Leather BU Manager, Silvateam: “The bio-circularity of Ecotan leather: from birth to life and next life”.
• Eric Poles, Leather Sales Manager, Silvateam: “The Ecotan tanning technology”.
• Mehmet Sepici, CEO, Sepici Tanneries: “Ecotan: from a tannery’s point of view”.
The webinar presentations are followed by a live Q&A moderated by ILM Content Director, Martin Ricker. Attendees are also invited to ask questions to the presenter panel.
