The group reports total revenue of £2.2 billion (US$3.44 billion) for 2014. The brands division has seen an increase of 5% to £618 million (US$966.35), led by Speedo and the highly successful SpeedoFit ranges which achieved record sales for the second year in a row with growth in several international markets.

Other Pentland brands include Berghaus, Canterbury, Ellesse, KangaRoos, Mitre, Ted Baker, Kickers and Lacoste. Lacoste Chaussures has seen strong sales with growth in major markets including the United States and China.

Ted Baker footwear has also registered another record sales year with strong growth in the United Kingdom and the United States. In the recent Drapers Footwear Awards, Ted Baker won both the Men’s Fashion Footwear Brand of the Year and International Footwear Business of the Year and Kickers Kids’ won recognition as the Footwear Brand of the Year.

As for the retail division, comprising JD Sports Fashion plc, it has reached an impressive £1.6 billion (US$2.50 billion), representing an increase of 19%. Blacks and Millets, the outdoor group, continues to undergo significant change under JD’s ownership, creating a strong platform for growth and development in 2015.

Group operating profit before tax is up 30% to £160 million (US$250 million) and it ended the year with net cash of £202 million (US$315.86 million), compared with £119 million (US$186 million) in 2013.
