Throughout 2019 we have seen more video clips on social media and via WhatsApp groups of truckloads of hides or skins being tipped into big muddy holes in the countryside. Thousands upon thousands of perfectly usable natural materials which can be used to make leather (and dozens of other side products) have become worthless and needlessly thrown away.
