Founded in 1846 and originally known as the “Seidentrocknungsanstalt Zurich”, the Testex Group now operates more than 28 branches with more than 300 employees worldwide from its head office in Zurich and is a member institute of the Oeko-Tex association.
About the guest
Mirjam Bänninger is a technical expert with a background of several years working in the leather and fur manufacturing industries, tackling topics such as sustainability, animal welfare and material durability.
As Group Product Manager for the Leather Standard, her aim is to maintain the company’s high-quality expectations and thus works closely with the other institutes of the Oeko-Tex Association to continuously develop the certification product according to the market’s demand in due consideration of international legal regulations and marketing-oriented decisions.
During the podcast, she talks about developing robust test standards for the leather and leather products industries and gives listeners an insight into the important world of leather testing and standards as well as what we may expect in the future.
