Many exhibitors are said to have praised the volume of business carried out at Fimec 2019, the International Fair of Leather, Chemicals, Components, Machines and Equipment for Shoes and Leather, which was superior to the last edition, they claim. Brazilian manufacturer Tecusi – Polyurethane Injectors said it doubled the sale of machines compared to last year’s edition.
This 43rd edition of Fimec welcomed visiting international delegations from countries such as Ecuador, Peru and Colombia. “Our delegation is comprised of 17 people, all of whom belong to Ecuador’s footwear industry. We closed deals for leather, components, chemicals and machinery. Our country is responsible for generating about 100,000 direct jobs in the sector”, said Lilia Villavicencio, President, Ecuador’s National Footwear Chamber (CALTU).
The 44th edition of Fimec takes place March 10-12, 2020, at the Fenac exhibition grounds, Novo Hamburgo-RS, Brazil.
