Car sales in the US were very good in April. Chrysler sales were up 14%, General Motors up 7%, Ford down 1%. Buyers are ready to come out of their homes after the cold and bad weather in the US and go to the dealers to buy new. This April development leads to pundits to estimate annual sales for 2014 will be 16.3 million units. This should be good news for the leather industry and comes on the back of rising sales in some parts of Europe and in Asia.
