The six shows which compose Première Vision Paris, representing the yarn, fabric, leather, design, accessories and manufacturing segments, presented their specific know-how and materials for Autumn/Winter 2016-17 in a harmonised context.
A total of 1,924 exhibitors from 57 countries participated at the event. Around 61,700 visitors from 137 different countries were registered over the 3 days, down 1% compared with September 2014, and out of which 74% came from outside of France.
In terms of international visitors, Italy came first (11%), an important attendance considering the Italian Fashion Week taking place on the same days, followed by the UK (9%). The show saw an increase in visitors from Japan, South Korea and China. Despite the recent devaluation of the Chinese currency and the slowdown of its economy, a total of 2,891 visitors from China attended the show (+17%). Visitors from the U.S. were slightly down in numbers compared to the previous September edition as well as Russia (-13%).
341 exhibitors participated at Première Vision Leather, which remains an essential meeting platform for the leather industry.
The French tanner, Mégisserie Richard, described the show as “an essential rendez-vous with our clients, and one we continue to bet on.”
“We saw our regular customers and several prospective ones, mainly from Europe, but also from the United States and the Far East”, added AR G Deri, from Turkey
Fedi Silvano from Italy was also enthusiastic at the close of the show. “For us, it was a great edition. We welcomed about 250 high quality visitors on our stand. We had French visitors, of course, but also Italians, North Americans, Dutch, Japanese and Scandinavians.”
The next edition of Première Vision Paris will take place February 16-18, 2016 at Paris Nord Villepinte, Paris, France.
