Rampant waste of raw hides and skins after Eid-ul-Azha

Despite fixing a higher price for the animal skins and allowing the export of wet-blue for the first time in 30 years, the Bangladesh government was unable to prevent widespread waste of raw hides and skins. However, the waste was reportedly less than in the previous two Eid-ul-Azha festivals.
