The meeting and convention will take place September 19-20 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown Chicago. Both USHSLA (U.S. Hide, Skin and Leather Association) and LIA (Leather Industries of America) will hold their respective Board of Directors and member meetings on Thursday, September 19, with a cocktail reception scheduled for that evening. General programming will be held Friday morning, September 20.
The proposed merger of the two organisations will be one of the main topics on the agenda for both associations during the 2019 convention and is set to take effect in early 2020, subject to approvals.
