Direct-to-consumer sales drove the results, representing 79% of the total net sales. Second quarter net income totalled US$37.4 million for Caleres, a dramatic shift from the company’s net loss of US$30.7 million in the same period the previous year (pandemic affected).

Although the company remains cautious about upcoming financial recovery due to uncertainty around Covid-19 restrictions and supply chain restrictions, it is confident about continuing growth and expects to delivery record annual adjusted earnings per share for the full 2021 fiscal year.
