Hans van Haarst, CEO, Smit & zoon, will outline his vision on the future of leather from a leather processing products manufacturer’s point of view during the upcoming Tannery 2030 conference in Shanghai on August 28.

International Leather Maker (ILM) is organising the half-day conference titled “Tannery 2030” in Shanghai, the day before the start of the 20th edition of the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE). The afternoon conference will take place at the Jumeirah Himalayas 5-star luxury hotel, located next to the Shanghai New International Conference and Exhibition Center (SNIEC), where the ACLE will be held.

Smit & zoon strongly believes that transparency, innovation, education and collaboration throughout the leather value chain are very important principles for this. A paradigm shift is needed in how the industry deals with the pressures and challenges it is confronted with. Hans will be joined by other keynote presenters
