Pentland’s total revenue increased from £2.9 billion (US$3.86 billion) in 2016 to £3.6 billion (US$4.79 billion) in 2017 (+25%), driven by a record performance from retail chain JD Sports Fashion (+33%), according to the Group. Operating profit, before amortisation of intangibles and exceptional items, was up +14% in the year to £376 million (US$501 million) from £331 million (US$441.3 million) in 2016. Group net assets increased +22% to £1,276 million (US$1,701 million) year-over-year.

Pentland Group’s brands include Kickers, Kangaroos, Mitre, and Boxfresh. It is also a worldwide licensee for the footwear businesses of Lacoste and Ted Baker.
