By employing Densodrin Polymeric Generation with the polymeric Densotan auxiliary, Stahl says its fully polymeric waterproofing process outperforms conventional waterproofing in terms of tear strength, tensile strength and stich tear, while matching conventional waterproofing on water vapour permeability (breathability) and static water uptake.

According to Stahl, tanners can also benefit from less frequent equipment cleaning, higher yields since polymer silicones fill blemishes and thicken hides, a reduction in processing time of up to 30%, and lower energy bills through lower temperatures and fewer washes.
