Earlier this year, global chemical specialist Stahl launched Ympact, a series of leather chemical solutions made with renewable feedstocks. These products originate from biomass feedstock and carbon-captured CO2 with a content of up to 70% and will assist tanneries to reduce their environmental footprint without compromising on quality or performance.
During the webinar, two leather chemical industry specialists from Stahl will provide more details about this new technology and highlight some of the new generation of leather chemicals using bio-based feedstocks.
The webinar presentations will be followed by a live Q&A moderated by ILM Content Director Martin Ricker.
Presenters:
- Harald Bauer, Global Technical Director Leather Chemicals, Stahl
- Frank Brouwer, Research Group Leader Renewable Chemistry, Stahl
- Live Q&A moderated by Martin Ricker, Content Director, ILM
Bio-based future
To ensure transparency and accountability toward all downstream partners, the products in the Ympact series have been tested and certified using the ASTM D 6866 carbon isotope method for bio-based carbon content. It incorporates only future-ready chemical components and all products are compliant with the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHCs) Restricted Substance List (MRSL 2.0) and contain less than 1% volatile organic compounds.
