Founded in Edinburgh in 2013, Strathberry has built an international presence around handcrafted leather goods produced in Ubrique, Spain. The brand now ships to more than 100 countries.
Strathberry operates primarily through a digitally led direct-to-consumer model, supported by a small network of stores and a curated wholesale presence with luxury retailers. The business has delivered a 43% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past three years.
The investment will support Strathberry’s next phase of growth, with North America identified as its largest market globally. The company also continues to see demand across APAC and GCC markets, as well as newer markets including Australia and Germany.
The investment is Strathberry’s second round of financing and sees Soho Square succeed BGF as the company’s institutional partner. The Hundlebys will retain control of the business and continue to lead the company, supported by Managing Director Martin Byrne. Soho Square’s David Steel will join Strathberry’s board.
“This investment marks an incredibly exciting chapter for Strathberry,” said Guy and Leeanne Hundleby. “This partnership gives us the opportunity to accelerate that vision and invest in the next phase of our growth.”
Steel said Strathberry had a combination of craftsmanship, distinctive design and an international customer base, adding that there was “significant scope to grow the business further, particularly internationally.”
