Hosted by the French Leather Council (CNC), the event will be held at Maison de la FNTP in Paris and will bring together a raft of expert speakers from across the global leather industry to discuss and showcase best practices in the leather sector in the areas of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from a social, environmental and economic perspective.
Topics to be discussed at the event include consumers of fashion and luxury goods moving towards CSR; CSR – from farming to finished leathers; manufacturing, sourcing, distribution and CSR in footwear; and the sustainable approach in the leather goods sector. A total of 31 speakers are scheduled for the day. Latest confirmed names include:

David GrangeréDirector, Group Bigard
David Grangeré has spent 27 years in the agri-food industry, working on multi-site and multi-sector projects. After having managed the sites of Socopa Villefranche and Socopa Cherré, he joined the Bigard Group 15 years ago. Taking a professional approach to the social and environmental challenges of its activities, Group Bigard strives to meet expectations with its proximity, quality and innovation as well as its expertise, with people at the heart of its commitments.

Grahame Webb, Professor, Wildlife Management International
Grahame Webb PhD, DSc, FRZS lives in Darwin, Australia and has been researching reptiles since the 1960s. He has played an active role in promoting the conservation of crocodilians since the 1970s and is the architect of the Northern Territory’s successful program. He is Chair of the IUCN SSC Crocodile Specialist Group and Director of Wildlife Management International. He has published over 120 scientific papers, six books and hundreds of reports on different wildlife issues. He has been involved with CITES, since the 1980s. His recent book “Wildlife Conservation: In the Belly of the Beast” (2014) is considered by some to be mandatory reading for people seeking a career in international wildlife conservation.

Delphine Sarfati-Sobreira, Managing Director, UNIFAB
Delphine Sarfati-Sobreira started her career at Le Figaro newspaper, before joining Publicis, where she was in charge of clients in the mainstream consumer products sector. She then moved to Unifab, the French association that fights counterfeiting and promotes intellectual property rights, as Director of Communication and Development. She worked on European projects to raise awareness among consumers, organised training programmes for public institutions and carried out concrete actions to help designers and innovative companies in all sectors of activity. In 2013, she became the Managing Director of Unifab and today she represents the French private sector in European and International organisations. As part of her functions, she chairs the communication group of the National Anti-Counterfeiting Committee (CNAC), publishes articles in the press and regularly gives university conferences.
