Eighteen speakers will take the stage today, as well as four exclusive keynote speeches, including organisations such as the Sustainable Leather Foundation, Tanneries Pechdo and Land to Market.
In an opening keynote speech to launch this year’s event, Jacqueline Alvarez, Chief, Chemicals and Health Branch, Industry and Economy Division at the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), spoke on the focus of the event: “Today we understand humanity in a different way and we are in a race not only to fight pollution but climate change.
“We need to know our social responsibilities, both as individuals and as companies, members of the supply chain.”
