Vietnam shoe sector considers impact of U.S.-China trade war

Vietnam’s footwear exports are reported to have increased +8.4% in the first half of 2018, year-on-year, to US$9.45 billion. If the availability of local raw materials still fails to meet demand, this could change once new Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) come into effect in 2019, and if the trade war between the U.S. and China persists.


EU cattle breeders warn against trade agreements

Cattle breeder associations from France, Ireland, Italy and Spain have warned the EU about a mediocre trading situation for the second half of 2016 as they fear the economic situation will deteriorate with further commercial agreements relating to the TTIP and Mercosur having an impact.
