A recent report in the UK by the Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) says that there has been big growth in corruption, incompetence and human rights abuses in supply chains across the world since the financial crisis. Equally worrying business leaders are twice as likely to say that their supply lines are transparent than the actual professionals who manage them on a day-to-day basis.
