Kanpur tanners fear cluster might not open again

As the tanneries in Kanpur remain closed long after the religious Kumbh Mela festival ended on March 4, some tanners worry the Government will not allow them to open again and many workers are reported to have left the sector.

China introduces new environment tax

Effective from January 1, 2018, China has started collecting an environment tax to better protect the environment and reduce pollutant discharge.
