The future should be Africa

One thing which is certain in the world of geopolitics and demographics is that the population of Africa is set to grow rapidly. Having been held back by Aids, Africa has a very young population, and numbers are set to accelerate dramatically over the coming years. For reasons that are not well understood but may have to do with the age profile, the pandemic has not had a great direct impact and hopes are that richer countries will provide some access to vaccines before a new, more powerful wave can arrive.
