In his closing speech of the 5^th World Footwear Congress in Léon, Mexico at the end of November Jean-Pierre Renaudin, CEC (European Footwear Confederation) President said that world footwear production exceeded 22 billion pairs last year but leather is becoming scarcer for footwear makers.
