Education for the leather industry

The recent announcement in our trade press about the new developments in leather education and research at the University of Northampton was very welcome news. At the recent APLF Hong Kong Fair alumni and friends of the University were given a preview of the new plans, but were told that they were subject to obtaining final approval from the Local Authorities.

The ConAgra clean-up should be a warning

"Wouldn't it be great if the leather industry in the developing world paid attention to what happened in Maine and took steps to clean up their act." So says John Moore in a comment on LinkedIn's Leather Naturally! regarding the agreement by American foodstuff giant ConAgra to pay $5.7 million for cleaning up the old South Paris tannery of A.C.Lawrence.
