New leather show gets underway in Dubai

The inaugural edition of Leatherworld Middle East got underway in Dubai today (May 4), as 86 exhibitors from 10 countries showcased raw materials/semi-processed leathers, tannery machinery and chemicals, finished leather, leather products and accessories in a market that’s establishing itself in the global leather industry. It was formally opened by H E Butti Saeed Al Ghandi, Second Vice-Chairman of the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The value of the over 50s

Its raw material is too expensive and apart from the cream at the top is not worth the price, or is at least very hard to manage with a decent margin. At the same time the consumer market is diverging with huge growth in the new middle classes in the emerging markets while the grey market holds more and more of the spending power in the developed ones.
