Read More...With leather being in fashion right now, it is not surprising to see the usual emotive nonsense coming from the animal rights brigade. The anti cruelty web site “care2” is headlining with a story about the excruciating pain animals go through in order to provide “trendy leather” and they seem to focus on fish skin – with the amazing revelation that fish feel pain too! Surprise surprise. One may not be in favour of animals being reared for meat, one may choose to be a vegetarian (it is a free world) but that does not give these extreme and biased people the right to make unsubstantiated emotive claims on websites.
