Israeli meat biotech company receives fund from several investors

On May 2, Jerusalem-based biotechnology company Future Meat Technologies announced a US$2.2 million seed investment round, co-led by Tyson Ventures, the venture capital arm of Tyson Foods. The Israeli company is advancing a distributive manufacturing platform for the cost-efficient, non-GMO production of meat directly from animal cells, without the need to raise or harvest animals.

AQSIQ discussed at Beijing meeting

In order to strengthen the communication and bilateral cooperation between both countries in leather industry, CLIA and USHSLA held a round-table meeting in Bejing on March 28, 2016. The meeting was attended by 40 delegates including officials from the American Embassy to China, the United States overseas agriculture service officials, AQSIQ, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Environmental Protection and China National Council Of Light Industry, delegates from American rawhides suppliers and buyers from China.
