Faurecia up 12.2% organically in first quarter

The French automotive seating and accessories manufacturer is up 12.2% on an organic basis in all regions in the first quarter of 2021, with sales in China exceeding pre-Covid sales of the first quarter of 2019. The company has estimated a worldwide automotive production of 76.6 million vehicles in 2021, which remains valid.


Gradual recovery for Faurecia in second half

The French automotive seating and parts manufacturer said that the first half of 2020 was strongly impacted by the global spread of Covid-19, which heavily impacted the automotive industry. In the first quarter of the year, worldwide automotive production fell 22% to 17.2 million vehicles, mostly impacted by China.
