It is with sadness that it has been announced that Helmut Stricker from Austria passed away on January 9, 2015 aged 71. In a long career in the leather industry he worked for many tanneries and other leather industry companies around the world, particularly in Asia.

In the latest update to its operating system Apple followed the trends set by its introduction of Maps and angered its customers by creating more problems than benefits from its new offer. Even for those who had no major issues the update was time consuming and fraught with concern, plus a huge amount of work remembering passwords and resetting background activity, notifications and the like. This blog got delayed as the updates to iPad and to desktops now makes sharing over their cloud system impossible.
