Ugg, which is a division of Deckers Brands, sourced the skins from Atkins Ranch in New Zealand, which is certified by Land to Market.

The Classic Mini Regenerate boot is available for adults and kids and, alongside the regenerative sheepskin, features a low-impact “SugarSole” outsole, made from sugarcane.

The brand reports that the combination of low-impact materials along with purchased offsets for the remaining emissions, makes the Classic Mini Regenerate carbon neutral.

Nicks Ericsson, Senior Director Brand Purpose at Ugg, said: “The new Classic Mini Regenerate is made with sheepskin from farms that practice regenerative agriculture to help restore soil, encourage wildlife diversity, capture carbon in the ground, and preserve the land for future generations.”

The brand has also made a five-year commitment with Land to Market to support regenerative farming practices on sheep farms in Australia and will contribute 20 acres of grassland to regenerative farmland by donating US$6 per pair from the total purchase of each Classic Mini Regenerate sold directly to the Savory Institute.
